Biography of the artist - Giovanni Pittui
Art as a common thread between space and time
Giovanni Pittui's passion for art has been evident since he was a child. Born on 10 July in Cagliari in 1926, to Sardinian parents. Growing up, he started drawing from the time he could hold a pencil and, over time, he developed a great skill and natural talent for painting. Despite his love for art, Giovanni chose to follow a career in mining engineering after graduating from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". However, art was destined to become his true calling.
Giovanni began exhibiting his paintings in Argentina, where he had moved for work, in 1962. He subsequently moved to Tehran, where he continued to paint and exhibit until 1976. In 1977, he decided to return to Italy and settled in Milan, where he had the opportunity to dedicate himself to painting and organize successful personal exhibitions.
After ten years in Milan, Giovanni decided to move to Rome and concentrate completely on art. The city inspired and motivated him to create a series of original and visually impactful works. He regularly exhibited his works in personal and collective exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.
